Magnolia - Bible Reference

The ending of Magnolia, the frog rain, is referenced throughout the entire 3 hour film via the numbers 8 and 2, which refer to the bible verse Exodus 8:2 "And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs".

An example of this would be when Sydney Barringer is about to commit suicide and we see 82 on the side of the wall made by a coil of rope. Another would be when the pilot of the plane says he needs a 2 and gets an 8.
